In order to access student records, you must first be authorized by the Registrar at Baldwin Wallace University that you have been informed of FERPA regulations. Therefore, carefully review the material presented in this FERPA Agreement. Maintaining confidentiality of student records is everyone's responsibility whether you are faculty, staff or student.

Why?

• Identity theft is currently the most widely reported consumer crime. Government reports that 9.9 million individuals in the United States are victims of identity theft each year with charges totaling $5 billion!
• Federal Government mandates that each staff and faculty member who have access to student record information must complete this FERPA Agreement to understand and act within its' laws.

Upon successful completion of this online tutorial, and appropriate Datatel training, you will be authorized to access student records. This tutorial is designed to give you a base level knowledge of the rules governing the release of student information according to FERPA law.
